The FCT Investigator Programme

Evaluation

As with all FCT funding schemes, proposals submitted to the FCT Investigator Programme calls are peer-reviewed in independent evaluation panels set up for each scheme or call.

Evaluators of the FCT Investigator Programme are internationally renowned scientists, with high level expertise and experience across the research areas supported by FCT.

Applicants are graded from 1 to 9 according to the scientific merit of the applicant, the quality and innovative features of the research proposal, and the quality and strength of the career development plan.

Information on the evaluation process is detailed in the Evaluation Guide.
