Welcome II Programme

The Welcome II Programme targets the recruitment of European researchers to join Portuguese research institutions after work in Third Countries. It is administered by FCT, being cofunded under the the Marie Curie Action COFUND, a part of the 7th European Union Research Framework Programme.

After postponement the call will now open on December 15, 2010. Eligibility conditions have been adapted as a consequence.

Applications are jointly submitted both by a researcher and a host research institution in Portugal with sections of the application to be completed by the researcher and others by the institution. It is recommended that preparatory work for the scientific definition of the application should start as soon as possible.

Institutions should review the Special Instructions for Institutions.

Note that for a FCT funded institution to be admissible, it is required to be an Associate Laboratory or that in its latest evaluation has attained Good or above.
