Proposals must focus on one or several of the following neurodegenerative diseases:

  • Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
  • Parkinson’s disease and PD‐related disorders
  • Prion diseases
  • Motor neuron diseases
  • Huntington’s disease
  • Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)
  • Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)

Participating Countries

See the list of participating countries on the JPcofuND2 CTC 2022 page.

How to Apply

  • Please check call documentation and national documentation available in the yellow box on the right.
  • Check the national or regional rules of the countries participating in your consortium (including Portuguese), available through the Country-specific information link. Partners that are considered non-eligible may result in the rejection of the entire consortium.
  • Complete the pre-proposal template and the proposal submission tool, available on the call page.
  • Up to 10 working days after the deadline for submission of pre-proposals, Portuguese teams (coordinators and/or partners) must send the following statement of commitment to the National Contact Point for the call, duly signed by the Researcher in Charge and by the legal representative of the Proposing Institution and stamped. Previous joint calls

JPcofuND2 Joint Transnational Call 2021: "LINKING PRE-DIAGNOSIS DISTURBANCES OF PHYSIOLOGICAL SYSTEMS TO NEURODEGENERATIVE DISEASES”

JPcofuND2 Joint Transnational Call 2021 supported a number of ambitious, innovative, multi-disciplinary and multi-national collaborative research projects that aimed at identifying and measuring physiological effects and related biomarkers that could be linked to the development of neurodegenerative diseases, as well as enhancing the understanding of causal underlying cellular, molecular, metabolic, inflammatory or other systemic processes.

Proposals focused on one or more of the following neurodegenerative diseases:

  • Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
  • Parkinson’s disease and PD‐related disorders
  • Prion diseases
  • Motor neuron diseases
  • Huntington's disease
  • Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)
