Transnational Cooperation

COFASP

FCT is partner of the network COFASP, since 1^st of February of 2013, an ERA-NET Project involving 26 partners from 15 countries (Denmark, Italy, Norway, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Iceland, France, Romania, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Finland and Belgium), and an European institution, the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).

The COFASP network was created to directly address actions envisaged within fisheries, aquaculture and seafood processing. It was created as under the KBBE theme in FP7, based on the obtained successes and experiences of their previous projects MariFish (2006-2011) and SEAS-ERA (2010-2014), and is part of the Europe 2020 strategy, which recognises bioeconomy as an important part of the strategy.
