4th EU-LAC BI-REGIONAL CALL

The EU-LAC Interest Group (IG) was launched by EU-LAC funding agencies with the aim of stimulating cooperation in science, technology and innovation. This group was created following the ERA-NETLAC (2013-2017). UE-LAC IG members launch the 4th joint bi-regional call 2021/2022.

DEADLINES OF THE 4th EU-LAC BI-REGIONAL CALL

Call launch: January 24, 2022

Deadline for submission of full proposals: 28th April at 16h00 (GMT)

Deadline for submission of the Declaration of Commitment to FCT: 12th May at 16h00 (GMT)

TOPIC SUPPORTED BY FCT

FCT only supports the topic Health II – EU-LAC Regional Hubs: Integrating research infrastructures for health and disease sharing of research infrastructures (ESFRI).

The countries participating in the call on the same topic supported by the FCT are:
Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Germany, Italy, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Spain (AEI), Turkey and Uruguay.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Consult the "Call Documents" available in the yellow box on the right.
  2. Read the national regulations of the countries participating in your consortium (Applicable FCT Regulation). Partners that are considered ineligible leads to the rejection of the entire consortium.
  3. Access the electronic submission platform.
  4. Portuguese teams (Partners and/or Coordinators) must send Declaration of Commitment to the National Contact Point for the Tender, duly signed by the Responsible Investigator, by the legal representative of the proposing institution and stamped, within 10 working days after the deadline for submission of the complete proposal.

FCT FINANCIAL COMMITMENT AND FINANCAL LIMITS

National commitment to the call: 300.000€

Maximum funding for a proposal coordinated by Portugal: 250.000 €

Maximum funding for a proposal with Portuguese participation: 150.000 €

Note: If more than one Portuguese institution is participating in a consortium and requesting funds to FCT the budget should be shared among the number of national partners. The funding of Portuguese institutions must comply with the Regulation on Projects Funded Solely by National Funds.
