HIVERA is an ERA-Net action devoted to HIV/AIDS research throughout Europe and coordinated by the French national agency for research on AIDS and on viral hepatitis (ANRS). It involves ministries, research organisations, and governmental bodies, funding agencies from Belgium, Estonia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Romania, and Hungary.
The main objective of HIVERA is the establishment of European-wide joint funding programmes on HIV/AIDS research. HIVERA aims at harmonizing and vitalizing HIV/AIDS research policies across Europe with high standards in programme management and in scientific evaluation.
