What are Marie Curie Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways?

Partnerships between public and private research organisations, (including universities, SMEs, manufacturing industries), based on a common research project and aiming to increase skills exchange between the two sectors.

Who can apply?

The Universities or Research Centers and Companies. The partnerships must include one institution from each sector from two different Member States or Associated Countries.

The institutions financed in the framework of this action may in a second phase recruit researchers outside the consortium. These opportunities should be announced by the consortium, in particular in the European Portal.

Which research topics are supported?

Proposals from all areas of scientific and technological research of interest to the European Union are welcome.

How does it work?

Proposals are submitted, evaluated against a series of predetermined criteria by international peer review and selected for funding of 3-4 years.

What does the funding cover?

Support will be provided for:

  • Exchange of know-how and experience through inter-sector two-ways secondments of research staff of the participants;
  • Recruitment of experienced researchers from outside the partnership, for involvement in transfer of knowledge and/or training of researchers;
  • Networking activities, organisation of workshops and conferences, involving the participants own research staff and external researchers.
What is the funding available for this Action?
€ 65 000 000.

Call for proposals for this action will be published on 02nd October 2012
Deadline for submissions: 16th January 2013 at 17:00:00 (Brussels local time), 16:00:00 hours in Lisbon.
