João Monjardino 2022 Prize

Destaque

28.11.2022 - The Jury of the João Monjardino 2022 Prize gathered on 9 November to review the applications submitted to the competition (see list). The application of the researcher Joana Vanessa Duarte Isidro, first author of the article "Phylogenomic characterization and signs of microevolution in the 2022 multi-country outbreak of monkeypox virus", published in Nature Medicine, was selected.
The Jury also decided that two applications did not meet the conditions to be accepted, one because the proposed article did not fit into the theme of the competition, and another because the research that led to the proposed article was not carried out in an institution of the National System of Science and Technology, as required by the call regulations.
Applicants may, within 10 working days of this announcement, submit comments for a preliminary hearing on the draft evaluation results to the email address premio.monjardino@fct.pt
