The deadline for submission of proposals for Strategic
Projects 2013-2014 was extended until 22nd May 2013 at 5pm
(GMT).
2013-2014 Funding for Strategic Projects developed by R&D Units and
Associate Laboratories
Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia funds Strategic Projects developed by
R&D Units and Associate Laboratories, in accordance with the Regulations governing access to funding for
scientific research and technological development projects – 2010
(amended in 2011).
Information on funding for 2013 and 2014:

R&D Units evaluated as “Excellent” and
Associate Laboratories officially located in regions
falling the European Convergence objective (North, Centre
and Alentejo) are invited to submit an application for
funding for the 2013-2014 Strategic Project, to be co-funded by
the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Programa
Operacional Fatores de Competitividade (COMPETE) of QREN (National
Strategic Reference Framework).

- Applications are open between 3rd May and 17th May 2013, at 5pm
(GMT).

R&D Units evaluated as “Excellent” and
Associate Laboratories officially located in the remaining
regions are asked to submit a proposal by filling in the form
below, to apply for funding for the 2013-2014 Strategic Project
from the State Budget.

- Applications are open between 3rd May and 17th May 2013, at 5pm
(GMT).

Strategic Projects from R&D Units evaluated as “Very Good” and
“Good” may be reprogrammed for one more year, until
31/12/2013.
The POFC COMPETE (Programa Operacional Fatores de Competitividade –
COMPETE) is available to proceed to a new extension until 31/12/2014, of
the strategic projects of the R&D Units classified as “Very Good”. The
same procedure applies to R&D Units classified as “Very Good” and
“Good”, funded exclusively by the State Budget.
The call for evaluation of R&D Units will take place in June and it is
expected that the approval of the funding resulting from the evaluation
regards the 2015-2020 period.
For projects that are eligible for co-funding from ERDF, within COMPETE, the
